The mission that the School of Nursing and Health Sciences has set to itself is to be in accordance with the philosophy and mission of Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association and Makassed University of Beirut, where it believes that quality healthcare is a basic human right that should be equally accessible to all citizens and in all the regions of the country. It seeks to achieve the highest standards in the teaching and practice of Nursing and Healthcare professions. Hence the School has committed itself to:
Promote the nursing profession in the community
Provide the highest standard of professional healthcare education by qualified faculty and administrative staff.
Prepare professional health care leaders able to deal with role changes in emerging health care systems
Exercise quality control over the School programs and develop credentialing system for that purpose
Support the establishment of a professional order for Nurses and other healthcare professions.
