The Makassed Veterans League aims to gather the Makassed administrative and educational employees, who have already reached the retirement age, finished their employment relation with Makassed association, or covered more than fifteen years of employment in the Makassed association. This is done in order to assure close relations and continuous communication between them, for the sake of serving the Makassed Family and providing social support to its members.

The League's bylaws

The league is constituted of a General Assembly, an Administrative Committee and specialized subcommittees:

1. General Assembly: It includes all the League members and meets annually to discuss administrative and financial reports, and biannully to elect the administrative committee.
   
2. Administrative Committee: It consists of 12 members They elect from within themselves the chairman, vice chairman, the treasurer and the accountant. The administrative committee meets twice per month, or on emergency basis to discuss the League’s affairs.
   
3. Specialized Committees: The administrative committee forms subcommittees to execute its activities and programs. They are:
    
   
   • Media and Public Relation Committee
   • Cultural Committee
   • Social Committee
   • Women Committee
   • Activities and Trips Committee
   • Health Committee

Some of the League’s Activities are:

• Publishing a quarterly magazine “Al-Rabita”, which discusses versified cultural and social topics that meets the needs of Makassed members and the community members at large,

• Offering financial and moral support, in addition to social assistance especially during the month of Holy Ramadan,

• Organizing health matters and care for the members of the League, through all possible means, and

• Provide services, discounts, reductions, and exemptions through the social and health care services offered in Makassed Association to the league’s members.

Some of the services and activities offered by Makassed Association to the league include:

• Establishment of the league’s club, and the organization of monthly meetings for its members. This is done to secure a social communication between the members, and thier participation in the intellectual, cultural, and recreational activities.

• Organization of regular outdoor trips for the league’s members and their families and the Makassed members at large.
