Makassed Launches Newborn Mother and Infant Care Project in Partnership with Expertise France

Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association in Beirut launched a project aimed at providing care for newborn mothers and infants in partnership with Expertise France, as part of its development program, Shabake 2.

Makassed President Dr. Faisal Sinno, announced the project’s launch at Sana Tabbara building in Makassed General Hospital.
In his speech, he expressed gratitude to Expertise France for their cooperation and long-standing support for a project that has been a significant priority in the healthcare sector. This collaboration aims to complete its phases in Beirut and targeted areas, focusing on the most vulnerable social groups in need.

Mohammed Mansour, Project Manager for Shabake 2 at Expertise France, emphasized France’s commitment to supporting local communities and civil organizations that address critical needs unmet by the State. He welcomed the partnership with Makassed, noting its extensive history of providing diverse services to its community. He expressed hope that this project would lead to future collaborations in other development initiatives.

Reem Rabah, Fundraising and Marketing Director at Makassed, provided a comprehensive overview of the Mother and Child program’s stages, which have spanned several years from Wadi Khaled in the north to various regions across the country. This program has been carried out in collaboration with multiple international donors. She expressed satisfaction with the progress of the project for newborn mother and infant care under Expertise France’s Shabake 2 program. This includes monitoring the health of pregnant mothers, during childbirth, and providing initial care for newborns until they complete their early incubation period. She ended her speech wishing for continued fruitful cooperation with Expertise France in the future.
