Makassed extended the implementation of an intensive learning and vocational training project with the help and funding of the United Nations Children’s Fund –UNICEF.
The Association mobilized its efforts to benefit a larger number of youth amid the staggering economic crisis in Lebanon, delivering trainings relevant to the needs of the labor market.
This year 2,600 trainees following in the footsteps of 6,280 who already graduated from this program.
The free training sessions are implemented in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, the North and the Beqaa Valley under the title of “Enhancing Stability: Opened Opportunities for Resilient Lebanese and Non-Lebanese Youth”.
The project provides technical and vocational trainings and innovative skills building programs for underprivileged dropouts between the age of 15 and 24 in different fields such as industrial cooking, sewing, craftsmanship, agriculture and construction skills for instance.
