Dalia Salam

Mrs. Dalia Salam established in 1996 “Hood Hood Books”, a publishing house specializing in the Islamic and Eastern civilizations.

She is a publisher, an educational advisor and an advocate for political change in Lebanon and the Vice Chairperson of the Centre for Lebanese Studies, which undertakes impartial and balanced research on Lebanon, especially in the field of education.

Mrs. Salam Dalia sits on several educational boards such as Oxford University and Stanford University.

Alongside, she has been actively involved for over 25 years in advancing and enabling graduate scholarships to Lebanese talents wanting to study in Britain and the USA.

She joined the Board of Kulluna Irada, a civic organization for political reform in Beirut, she is also an active supporter of Human Rights Watch, which exposes human rights violations in Lebanon.

Born in Beirut, Mrs. Salam graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and later obtained her Master’s at Georgetown University School of Foreign Service, Washington DC
