For more than a century, Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association of Beirut has stood as a leading national, humanitarian, and educational institution, carrying a mission of knowledge, care, and community service. Throughout its history, it has helped empower individuals, safeguard their dignity, and promote the values of belonging, solidarity, and social cohesion. In doing so, it has strengthened the unity of Lebanese society and reflected the humanitarian spirit of its enduring journey.

Today, as we continue this distinguished path, we believe that our responsibility extends beyond preserving Makassed’s legacy. We are committed to advancing the Association’s institutions and strengthening their educational, healthcare, and social roles. Through this work, Makassed remains a space of support and service for all members of Lebanese society, and a platform for Islamic values rooted in knowledge and compassion, while responding to the aspirations of our community and the challenges of our time.

Makassed remains committed to working in a spirit of transparency, cooperation, and openness. It places people at the heart of its mission and strives to promote excellence in education, healthcare, and community development, inspired by the Association’s enduring values of moderation, generosity, and service to Lebanon.

What Makassed has achieved throughout its history is the result of the dedication of successive generations of committed supporters, partners, and staff members. Today, we look forward to strengthening these partnerships with members of the community, institutions, and friends in Lebanon and around the world, in order to build a brighter and more sustainable future for generations to come.

Our sincere thanks go to everyone who contributes to supporting Makassed’s mission and journey. We remain confident that the spirit of goodwill and collective action will continue to serve as the foundation for the continued flourishing of this national and humanitarian institution.
