Makassed General Hospital (MGH) organized a hiking team-building event aimed at uniting its diverse workforce, ranging from management and nurses to administrative and support staff. This full-day adventure was set against the scenic backdrop of Kfardebian, ending at the historic Faqra Monuments. Guided by an experienced team from Footprints Nature Club, the hike offered participants a chance to reconnect with nature and each other. The journey concluded with an invigorating laughter yoga session led by a skilled instructor, providing a refreshing escape from the daily pressures of hospital life while fostering stronger communication, trust, and camaraderie.
The day began early, with participants boarding Pullman buses and stopping for a quick, energizing breakfast. Footprints Nature Club managed all safety measures and provided first-aid support and guidance along the way. Colleagues helped one another over rough spots, shared supplies, and took time to enjoy the peaceful surroundings together. Their teamwork on the trail was a reminder of the same collaboration that drives their daily work in healthcare.
At the peak, the group gathered for a relaxing yoga session, enjoying the fresh mountain air and a shared sense of accomplishment. The hike’s physical challenges brought out individual strengths and underscored the value of teamwork and mutual support. The day concluded with a well-earned lunch overlooking the scenic Kleiat Valley in Keserwan. Refreshed and uplifted, the group returned to Beirut with lasting memories and a renewed commitment to teamwork, trust, and resilience—core values in their daily work in healthcare.
