Makassed schools participated in the National Schools Debating Championship for the Arabic Language, organized by the American University of Beirut for eleventh-grade high school students, with the participation of 14 schools from across Lebanon.
In the final round, a group of participating Makassed students achieved distinguished national rankings and earned the title of Top Ten Best Speakers across Lebanon. The results were as follows:
Second Place: Bayan Al-Kurdi from Lycée Makassed Khadija Al-Kubra
Fifth Place: Rayan Abdel Fattah from Makassed Omar Ben Al-Khattab College
Sixth Place: Karim Al-Zinnar from Makassed Khaled Ben Al-Walid College
Eighth Place: Farah Khaled from Lycée Makassed Khadija Al-Kubra
Tenth Place: Rabih Iskandarani from Makassed Khaled Ben Al-Walid College As a result, Makassed winning students are now nominated to participate in training sessions to form the Lebanese National Team, which will represent the country in the International Debating Championship in Qatar. The students thus continue their journey of excellence and creativity in the world of critical thinking and debate.
