Participation in the Jordan Conference – Second Annual Conference: Education in Emergencies

A Makassed delegation participated in the Second Annual MEPLI Regional Conference, themed “Education in Emergencies,” held in Amman, Jordan. The event was co-hosted by The Middle East Professional Learning Institute (MEPLI) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, in collaboration with the Queen Rania Teacher Academy and the Makhzoumi Foundation. It was held under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Azmi Mhafzah, Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research of Jordan.

At the conference, Maggy Al-Khatib, the director of Makassed Edu-Cater Pro Training and Consultancy Center, met with Dr. Osama Ubaidat, the Executive Director of the Queen Rania Academy, and a team from the Academy’s Business Development Department, led by Mrs. Nabila Bashir. Discussions with Ms. Shayleen Cary, MEPLI program director from Harvard University, focused on exploring future collaboration opportunities. Trainer Mohammed Al-Amine conducted a workshop titled “Empowering Educators as First Responders to Emergencies” for participants from Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine. Additionally, Dr. Mariam Rabaa (Cohort 2022) and Mrs. Fawziya Mashmoushi (Cohort 2023) from Makassed graduated from the MEPLI program during the conference’s closing ceremony.
