Empowering Women Through Income Generation Opportunities in Beirut

Overview:
In partnership with UNDP and funded by Norway, Al Makassed Ward Center launched the Sawaaed Platform to empower women from Lebanese, Syrian, and Palestinian backgrounds. This initiative focused on creating sustainable job opportunities in domestic services, childcare, and food preparation. Participants underwent a three-month intensive training covering first aid and safety measures.

Key Achievements:

  • 80 women trained in childcare, domestic services, and food preparation.
  • Improved living conditions and economic participation of beneficiaries.
  • Enhanced skills and knowledge, with evaluations showing significant positive impacts.
