The SANAD project strengthens Lebanese municipalities struggling with the economic and social crises. By focusing on capacity-building and community involvement, it helps municipalities provide essential services and support local development.
Key Goals:
- Enhance municipal capacity to engage communities in planning and implementing solutions.
- Empower local representatives to address challenges through innovative proposals.
- Foster collaboration between municipalities and communities to maximize resources.
Active Initiatives:
Currently, 13 projects are underway, including waste management, disaster response, vocational training, public lighting, and elderly care.
Positive Impact:
- 70% of participants consistently attended training sessions, gaining expertise in project management and proposal writing.
- The program promoted collaboration across diverse groups, strengthening community bonds.
- Municipalities recognized the benefits of shared experiences through joint training workshops.
