Adam Itani, a sixth-grade student at Lycée Makassed Khadija Al-Kubra, won first place in the “Writers of Tomorrow – Small Pens, Big Ideas” competition, organized by the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education – Directorate General of Education, Department of Cultural Affairs and Fine Arts, in collaboration with the Princess Dyala Arslan Talhouk Library.

The competition aims to develop students’ creative writing skills through composing a short story in Arabic, addressing various themes related to environmental issues and ethical values such as integrity, honesty, love, empathy, social solidarity, and others.

All Makassed participating schools received certificates of appreciation, including: Khaled Ben Al-Walid College, Ali Ben Abi Taleb College, and Lycée Khadija Al-Kubra.

Participating students also received stories and commemorative gifts. The honored students are:

• From Lycée Makassed Khadija Al-Kubra: Nariman Hallak – Nasma Itani – Reina Bohloq – Ram Jadayel.

• From Makassed Khaled Ben Al-Walid College: Islam Matou – Lia Baba Nasser – Nour Mahmassani.

• From Makassed Ali Ben Abi Taleb College: Asmaa Ghandour – Lia Zaiter – Maram Itani. We extend our gratitude to all participating students and congratulate them on their excellence in expressing their ideas in their native language, showcasing promising talents in the art of writing.
