A Successful Journey Culminates in a Landmark Training Camp in Kamed El-Laouz
In an effort to modernize scouting for the next generation, the Makassed Islamic Scouts launched a new initiative this year, introducing modern and advanced scouting programs. These programs were held weekly in the Scout Troops of Makassed schools, with activities tailored to the age and physical abilities of each group.

The MARCOM team has achieved impressive results across various campaigns and initiatives. With over 20.1 million views on Facebook and Instagram, including a successful Ramadan Giving Campaign that reached 6.9 million users, visibility efforts have been strong. GIZ – SANAD
The SANAD project is ongoing, with PCL 1 running from September 2024 to May 2025 across several municipalities. Beneficiaries have participated in capacity-building activities, including six training sessions and two for municipal representatives. The working groups have developed action plans and presented initiatives, with procurement procedures beginning for selected projects.
UNDP – Sawa3ed
The SAWAED project has enrolled 28 beneficiaries in Elderly Care training and 12 in Housekeeping, with two employers partnering for the Cash-for-Work initiative. By the end of March 2025, all C4W activities were completed. Future plans include the finalization of reports, preparation of certificates, and ongoing marketing strategy development. The

The BERYT project is currently in its renovation phase, with one out of 12 buildings successfully renovated. The project’s timeline was extended, and staff contracts were renewed to support the continued work. An external audit by Ernst & Young was also conducted. The YSE project has made notable progress despite challenges posed by budget restrictions and recent escalations. From September to November 2024, 27 beneficiaries, previously enrolled in the cash-for-work program, continued with the project. Edu-Cater Pro delivered insightful online training sessions for Makassed Saida school parents. These sessions focused on identifying the principles of a productive learning environment, learning practical strategies for implementing them at home, and sharing ideas through interactive activities to create a supportive atmosphere for learning.
