Makassed ninth-grade students, Latifa Yamout from Ali Bin Abi Taleb College and Lea Al-Hoss from Omar Bin Al-Khattab College, participated in the Annual Summer Camp of the International Model United Nations (IMUN), organized by the UNESCO Center for Peace which was held at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., from July 20 to August 2, 2025, under the patronage of the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO.
The two students were awarded the Honor Shield in the UNESCO Worldwide Multimedia Competition on Sustainable Development Goals.
In addition, Latifa Yamout received the “Outstanding Delegate Award”, while Lea Al-Hoss won the “Best Project Presentation Award”. This experience contributed to enhancing their skills in scientific research, dialogue, critical thinking, technology use, and cultural openness, through daily workshops and conferences in the fields of culture, education, science, and communication.
