Makassed General Hospital (MGH) is pleased to announce several significant improvements to its cafeteria services and sustainability initiatives, aimed at enhancing the experience for patients, visitors, and staff alike.
1- Cafeteria Expansion and Extended Hours
The hospital cafeteria, located at the main entrance, has recently been expanded to better serve the growing number of staff and visitors. In addition to the extended space and longer opening hours — now from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM, Monday through Saturday — the cafeteria is introducing a new selection of hot meals. Prepared by the team at “Ward El Makassed,” these freshly cooked dishes offer more variety and quality, giving more options to enjoy throughout the day.
The cafeteria also introduced an in-room meal delivery service for guests. Menus are now available in patients’ rooms, making it easy for visitors to place orders conveniently.
2-Vending and Coffee Machines
As part of enhancing comfort and convenience, two vending machines and two coffee machines have been installed throughout the hospital. These machines are strategically placed on the Ground Floor and the 6th Floor to provide quick and easily accessible snacks and beverages to visitors.
3-Plastic Recycling Campaign
In line with the hospital’s commitment to sustainability, a new plastic recycling and sorting campaign “Recycle for a better world” has been launched. 12 recycling containers have been placed across different floors and public areas of the hospital to encourage responsible waste management and contribute to environmental protection.
These developments reflect MGH’s ongoing dedication to providing high-quality services and fostering a sustainable and patient-friendly environment.
