In our second consecutive year of partnership between Makassed schools and the eTwinning program team in Lebanon, coordinated with the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education, we are pleased to announce the recognition of 21 Makassed teachers with the National Quality Certificate, and the distinction of 16 of them, who received the European Quality Certificate. This recognition is in appreciation of their efforts and the efforts of their students, who have demonstrated a successful example of European collaboration in their projects, effective use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), educational innovation, student engagement, and the impact these projects have had on the learning community. This prestigious award is granted to projects that rank among the best of those receiving the National Quality Certificate.
Additionally, three teachers from Makassed Schools represented Lebanon at the eTwinning International Conference held in Albania: Nadine Antar and Ruba Daher from Khaled Ben Al-Walid College, and Karin Nasser from Ali Ben Abi Taleb College. During the conference, they participated in workshops that enriched their educational experiences and expanded their knowledge on integrating STEAM into education, project-based learning, and artificial intelligence (AI) tools that can be employed in the educational process. They also visited a school that uses AI-based learning (AI School) as a practical experience for modern learning strategies. Moreover, French language teacher Nelly Khairallah from Lycée Makassed Khadija Al-Kubra was selected to represent Lebanon at the upcoming eTwinning Conference in Italy.
